Wong&#39;s Chinese Restaurant, this is a Chinese restaurant above the local Chinatown. The dining environment is quite elegant and comfortable, and the taste of the dishes is relatively authentic.

Atmosphere food excellent complement to the chefs

Absolutely loved the ambience and decor of this gorgeous restaurant! The staff were exceptional and the food amazing!!! We loved the pre dinner drink options and our waiter (sorry can&rsquo;t remember his name but he was born in Athens) was spot on with his food and wine pairings. A very very enjoyable meal!

The restaurant |Mackenzie&#39;s^ is located on a grassy area on the Hunan side of Tekapo. There are not many buildings here. It is easy to find. It is not to say how special the restaurant itself is, but this view is really great. In the outdoor seat, you can easily see the reflective Lake Tekapo. This is my first. One time I looked at a lake so seriously, the milky blue lake, the first reaction to my mind was like a blue liquid in the milk, and the more you look at it, the more you see there are many different types of blue, different levels of blue mixed together, rich and not monotonous, but in another. The corner is a color of milk blue. The first time I saw this colored lake is said to be because of the precipitation of some element at the bottom of the lake, but it is really really beautiful. This was my grandsons 2nd birthday meal but Toby Carvery said they did not have my booking via the fork even after showing my confirmation and we had to wait 20 mins for a table. However that being said we had a lovely evening and staff were great

Always good food here healthy and filling and great friendly staff will bd rebooking again soon to catch up with friends and family

We booked a table for three Sun Dec3 16:00. Parked easy, logged car reg, directed to a table for four really quickly. Got seated, carvery, we each had turkey, was almost like a Christmas dinner. We loved our meal. Drinks served pretty quickly as well. Started to get really busy by 16:15 so people queuing for the carvery, looks our timing was perfect. Dessert served by a friendly waitress within about 2mins. We paid &pound;70 (plus 10% because the service was good). We have been to this Toby West quite a few times and we reckon its the best.

Excellent food and service, we spent the weekend in Edinburgh to celebrate my husbands 80th birthday, hence the meal .Faultless service will definitely go again.

Nice to see toby open again we often went there for diner   Xmas  we liked the changes that were made noticed the new staff very excellent service from Erin all staff were polite we will be coming back soon

Staff were friendly, took you to your table and gave you the menus.  They gave you enough time to settle and choose before they came back to table to take orders. The food was delicious and the place was light and airy.  Very enjoyable.
